Split tactics
My idea is to split the current tactical choices (normal, counter attack, pressing, etc) into two groups, so that multiple tactics can be used in the same match. For instance: Why should you not be able to play counter attack and focus on attacking on the wings? Or why should you not be able to play creatively and focus on getting through in the middle?
These are the two groups:
Focus passes
- Mixed
- On wings
- Through middle
Game tactic
- Normal
- Pressing
- Counter attack
- Play creativly
Today all the tactical choices are grouped together which I sometimes find frustrating. This grouping would open up further tactical possibilities without the need for fundamental changes to the game engine.
The only difficulty I see is that making one selection from each group would mean receiving the penalty associated with both tactics.
