Awarding top goalscorers

The reward for having the top goalscorer in a league is ridiculous. €10 000 is petty cash even to a low league club. This idea aims at making the top goalscorer title more attractive, but not by giving away more money.
The original suggestion was to give the top goalscorer a level up in experience. By doing that you would make it worthwhile to go for the top scoring title, and the player who won the title would get the experience boost and with it he would become more attractive on the transfer market and also add to the overall experience of his team in games to come. It was also suggested to maybe differenciate the prize money between the divisions, so that a 1st league top scorer would receive more money than a 4th league top scorer.
An additional suggestion made by myself, was to add a golden boot to the top goalscorers profile, much in the same way teams get medals in their profile’s top right corner. Currently, all the player gets is a note in his “memorable moments” list saying that he was the top scorer for a team in a season.
Objections to this idea has been made too, stating among other things that this will give a competitive edge to teams that play offensively and by nature scores more goals than teams who play defensively. What do you think? Comment below!
