Player’s Wages and Contracts
From my point of view, the main problem of Hattrick, nowadays, is the high wages of players. If a really good manager could develop his team faster than usual, it eventually would be stopped by the crazy wage’s increasing system. It is unfair and absurd how it grows. And a team who wants to stay on the top leagues, must do weektrading/daytrading to survive. It is almost impossible to be good in this game without doing it.
So, the thing to be changed, first, is how wages are calculated. Nowadays, a player who gets better in one skill will receive, the next season, the double of what he receives now. I think that it is imperative that wages have a slower increase per skill. Furthermore, it could be good if a player bought by a team signs a contract with this team, so that, as long as the contract lasts, he would receive the same wages as when he was bought.
My suggestion is that, in auction, whenever a offer is made, the one who offers have not only to specify the amount of money he is offering, but also negotiate, somehow, a contract with the player in which are stipulated the conditions of the contract (at least the wages and the seasons the contract will last). However, when the contract ends, the player wouldn’t be free, as in real life, so that the team who bought him don’t lose an investment.
My suggestion, again, is that, whenever a player’s contract ends, the manager should be able to choose if he wants to renew this player’s contract (being aware that, if his value has increased, his wages would also increase) or to dismiss the player’s services, losing him for good.
