HFA attacks kamikaze teams - Sweden sets new standard
Could this be the end of kamikaze teams pulling divine tricks? HT-Tjecken thinks so: “This bancruptcy change will put an end to kamikaze teams, a so called “drop out turn” behaviour which seriously damage the game experience.”. Once again the HT developers have listened to the voices of the users. Also in the news: Sweden national team manager Karate has made some drastic changes to the national team.
HFA announcement
The Hattrick Football Association has officially stopped paying wages to players in bancrupt teams, and will let them go instead. This means that a bancrupt team will not be able to keep their superstars like they have in the past. National team players will not be let go, but transfer listed instead. A major change indeed.
Sweden national team
Karate won the Swedish national team manager election, and he has some serious plans. According to DrZeta (forum message ID 6704747.1), Swedish manager in div IIe, he will impose an artificial upper limit on the wages the players in the national team can have. Instead, all managers who have players at divine skills are told to train their players in secondary skills. The plan is a fairly long-term one, and Karate has told his constituency that in 4-5 seasons Sweden will be able to compete with the top nations again.
In a comment to these news, HT-Tjecken said (forum message ID 6704747.34) on the forums that he had been thinking of a limit like this for some time, but that it would be political suicide to impose this on other nations now that the Swedes already had started their work. Well… There are plenty of other options to kill off farm teams. My personal favourite is to lower the rate at which a player improves his skill if the player is only playing in matches with teammates and opponnents of very much lower skill levels. This would effectively make it impossible to train a divine player in 6th division.
