I have come up with this idea from seeing many real wingers playing. Many of them, like f.e. Ebi Smolarek from Poland and BVB, playing as a winger who very often goes forward to be a third striker. So the tactics changes from f.e. 4-4-2 to 4-3-3 which can disorganize the defence of the opponent and increase the chance to score. So how to implement this in Hattrick? I think it could be that way:

  1. New individual order for winger - “go forward”
  2. Chosen tactics does not change (if you chose 3-5-2 it remain 3-5-2)
  3. Influence on midfield coming from winger become less - half than winger offensive. That winger will influence central attack like he was an extra striker, but his scoring skill is treated like it was 2/3 lower and his passing skill is 3/4 of it’s value.
  4. Of course you can play both wingers that way, but two wingers can create confusion (or even loss of training). In practice, you cannot change from 3-5-2 to 3-3-4 without complications. Remember the “go forward” winger remaining winger, goes to attack and he crowds your attack formation. Just like extra striker. So when there are 2 extra strikers it could be too crowdy and you lose your training.
  5. Of course, to be a good “go forward” winger, your winger alsp needs scoring in addition to normal winger skills.

Optionally winger “go forward” could be more striker towards wing than extra center striker. But he will be weaker than if he played as a striker. The rules about crowd still apply.
