Some interface suggestions

Here are a few interface-related suggestions in one post. First suggestion is to show the online status of managers in the league standings table. Second one is to make it easier to navigate the conference, and third one is related to making it easier to navigate the players page.

Friendlies “dating service”

For all the lazy players that do not participate in a private cup… add a button that says “get me a challenge home” and “get me a challenge away”. This would add this team into a database of teams that are looking for a challenge. There are times when I don’t give a damn whom will I play, as long as they come to my arena.

Assigning and sorting players by position

Today it’s possible to sort your players from their skills, for example, you can sort them on “Scoring” and you’ll get the player with the highest “Scoring” on top of the rooster. It’d be nice if I, as a supporter, could sort them on categories like “Striker” “Midfielder” “Defender” “Winger” “Goalkeeper” and so on, and that I’ve categorized them to be these things. Players that are not “Strikers” would be sorted out of the rooster when I choose “Striker”, in the little dropdown menu. It should be possible to classify one player as a number of things, for example one of my players could be both “Striker” and “Winger”. Read on…
Add scrimmages

To fill the time between friendlies and league or cup games, and also between the end and start of each new season, it would be good be able to play scrimmages. No money would be earned. No injuries can occur. Yellow and red cards will not be kept after the game, and participants get no training benefits either. This is just so people can have fun and play against real friends. They can be played on tuesdays, and it could maybe be made so that only supporters can have this game option. Read on…
Save transfers search profile

Are you looking for a youth player “from 17-18 years old” with “passing from inadequate to excellent” and “scoring at solid minimum” with “head as specialty” in the “next 4 hours” for South America … and don’t find anything good to buy … then you have to find in same way another goalkeeper with some extra filters and then go back later trying to remember the exact filters you set before … it’s a pain, right? Club page stats

Having a background in web development and community management, I have always wondered why there is so little “web” stats available to club managers - even for supporters. Especially on your main club page: Why not let the manager know how many unique visitors the page had in a given week / month / ever? Which HT countries / regions did the visitors come from? Are my press announcements actually read by anyone? Does anyone except for my league colleagues actually notice the nice new team logo I have created - or don’t even my league colleagues notice? Top 10 matches

I like how HT started allowing for managers to save certain players into their “Hall of Fame”, and I think that it would be a good idea to expand this idea further. My suggestion would be to allow Supporters save up to 10 of their matches into a link called “Top 10 Matches.” In the match archive there could be a small icon next to the match, similar to the bookmark icon now used, and a manager could arrange up to 10 matches in order of how signifcant s/he felt it to be in the club’s history.

Give us more stats!

I think that there are some stats that could be useful or just fun to have on your team profile. It could be related to your matches, your overall team performance through history or it could be stats related to the league I play in.
